Even the smallest, poorest looking structures appear to be expencive thanks to the extreem elegence of the organic shapes and paterns going into their lofty, spire-y, vagly gothic designs. The more well off folks live in identicle homes, save for even shiner trim and a more whimsical appearance to their structures flowing forms.

History

Almost every community has some problem with bandits and highwaymen, but Năz Věn Æz is seriously plagued with raiders. One or more groups of persistent plunderers are hitting the community repeatedly, and they lack the necessary resources to fend them off or protect all their holdings.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century, Năz Věn Æz was attacked by soldiers from another nation, with orders to raid Năz Věn Æz. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Năz Věn Æz lost 295 people, 120 livestock, and 90 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 125, when members of Năz Věn Æz's militia enacted an operation to delay the operations of the enemy. The operation was complicated by a significant percentage of the militia choose to go abandon the operation and return home. The conflict ended with pitched battle between both forces, which ended in defeat for Năz Věn Æz's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Năz Věn Æz's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
